WONDER BOYS EARN AT-LARGE BID INTO NCAA TOURNAMENT

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Arkansas Tech University men's basketball team has received an at-large bid into the 2012 NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament. The news came Sunday evening just hours after ATU captured the inaugural Great American Conference tournament championship.

The Wonder Boys (24-5) have been awarded the No. 3 seed in this weekend's regional to be hosted by No. 1 seed Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. ATU will face No. 6 seed West Texas A&M at noon on Saturday, March 10 in the opening round.

Saturday, March 10 - 12 PM: No. 3 Arkansas Tech (24-5) vs. No. 6 West Texas A&M (19-8)
Saturday, March 10 - 2:30 PM: No. 2 Tarleton State (26-5) vs. No. 7 Missouri Southern State (22-7)
Saturday, March 10 - 6 PM: No. 1 Midwestern State (26-3) vs. No. 8 St. Mary's (19-8)
Saturday, March 10 - 8:30 PM: No. 4 Washburn (24-7) vs. No. 5 Northwest Missouri State (22-6)
Sunday, March 11 - 5 PM: ATU/WTAMU winner vs. TSU/MSSU winner
Sunday, March 11 - 7:30 PM: MSU/STMU winner vs. WU/NWMSU winner
Tuesday, Marh 13 - 7 PM: Semifinal winners

The winner of each of the NCAA Division II regional tournament advances to the Elite Eight in Highland Heights, Ky., which is scheduled for March 21-24 at the Bank of Kentucky Center.
