SAU, HSU EARN NCAA BASEBALL TOURNAMENT BIDS

 INDIANAPOLIS - On Sunday, Southern Arkansas and Henderson State, out of the Great American Conference, earned bids to the 2015 NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament. The Muleriders, the recipient of the league's automatic bid, received the No. 4 seed while the Reddies, making their first NCAA postseason bid, garnered the No. 6 seed.

Days after capturing their fourth-straight GAC Tournament Championship, SAU advanced to its eighth-straight NCAA Regional Tournament appearance. The Muleriders (39-16), the No. 4-seed team, will face No. 3-seed Emporia State in its opening game. The two will play on Thursday.

Henderson State will enter as the No. 6 seed and will play host and No. 1 seed St. Cloud State on Thursday. St. Cloud State owns a 50-3 record and is ranked No. 1 nationally in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll. The Huskies have won 21 straight games entering NCAA Region play.

Minnesota State-Mankato and Missouri Southern round out the regional field and will take on one another in the No. 2-seed vs. No. 5-seed game.
